Waking up Sunday morning was full of humor. After the mound mobile conked out on the freeway a game time decision was made to try everything in our power to get the car on a trailer and the gear in the back of a new rental truck. A few hours getting quotes and trying to find a rental truck with a car carrier together, available, and open on a Sunday, was a task. I guess luck was on our side we ended up finding both close enough to get to. Thanks to a few nice people that met us after there church got out to rent us the truck we were almost on the way we could almost smell it. Thanks to Angel who killed bees for us in the office and shared her fan we were feeling better. All we had to do now was unload one trailer and get everything into a truck. Lucky for us again we were able to pay a guy that went by Slim to sweat it out and help us load it. As soon as we had it loaded we were finally back on the road. With all said and done we had a bit of a delay but now we could do over fifty five. never would I thought that i would agree with Sammy Hagar but "i cant drive fifty five" now with our new truck and the freedom to do 70 mph we had a new feel for the road. Then we headed west. A few stops for gas and even more hours on 40 west we were in reach of Texas. Driving clear across Arkansas and Oklahoma we were getting pretty tired so decided to stop in Vega about five hours from our goal of today Great Sand Dunes National Park. All in all we are about 9 hours from Denver, a day and night to play in one of the biggest sand dunes and tallest mountains in the country, then we are there. Let the school and job hunt begin.
